Specialty Courses Provided at Casey and Son Horseshoeing School

Ralph Casey and son Link Casey are our Head Instructors along with a staff of five certified and professional farriers. We work hard to be "The Source for Horseshoeing Education" for those who desire to learn to trim, shoe their own horses, or professionally!

While attending our school you will also have the opportunity to attend, participate and learn more about the many continuing education clinics we offer. At least once or twice a month, we host a different subject.

Equine nutrition- Equine Nutritionist, Buck McColl, develped the Mobile Milling Company and Bio-Zin products for healthy horses and hooves.

Safe Horse Handling for Farriers and Horse Owners with the Noavel Headstall.

Shoeing Foundered Horses with the Nolan Hoof Plate proven to relieve pain and improve hoof quality.

Trimming and Shoeing the Pleasure Flat Shod Gaited Horse with Stan Trimble, Certified Master Gaited Farrier of Pulaski, Tennessee.

Beginning Forge work with BWFA Certified Farrier and Mr. Casey.

Advanced Forge work and Shoe Making with BWFA Certified Farriers and Mr. Casey.

Shoeing Reining Horses with Barry Denton of Arizona visits once a year.

Equine Dentist, Dawn Mannira, EqDT, of Florida can help in aging and identifying obvious problems that may lead to other problems that will hinder the farriers work. She was trained at the American School of Equine Dentistry under the teachings of Dr. Raymond Hyde, DVM, CEqDT.

Thermography Scanning- High Technology used to evaluate the horse by showing the pressure points, soreness, etc.

Equine Flexion Therapy Classes with Dan Marcum of Texas. At the end of this 3 day course you will receive an Equine Flexion (EFT) Certificate. You will learn to massage by hand, do flexion exams and deep motion flexing. Tuition for this course is NOT covered in school tuition prices.

A big advantage for all of our students is working with horses donated to the Farriers' National Research Center to learn as much as they can about the role the farrier takes int he overall health of the horse. We pride ourselves in keeping up with technology, new products, inventing a few ourselves and offering this to the horse owner public on Horseshoe'n Time television show.
