buttonx.gif (1201 bytes) Technical
You will learn the technical methods of shoeing horses without all of the usual bookwork making it faster and easier to learn!!

Casey has a simple, yet effective teaching method. This lets the students learn faster and enjoy their training. Casey has developed a revolutionary new method that eliminates a lot of bookwork and study-time in the classroom. Each day includes hands-on horseshoeing. His teaching methods help students to understand and actually see the importance of proper shoeing. Casey teaches students that each horse is an individual patient and they are the doctors. Casey emphasizes the quality of the work performed on each horse, not how fast a student can shoe a horse.  Students will develop speed in time.  Students are also treated as individuals who learn at different speeds. Whether students attend a short course as a horse owner or a longer course geared towards the professional horseshoer, they learn valuable knowledge about the complete horse.

Casey offers an outstanding education derived from his in-depth studies of basic shoeing over the last ten years. From his teachings to hundreds of students and travels with the BWFA farrier association, he has approached the teaching aspect of farrier science in a whole new light, unlike other teachers.

He has developed Six Steps to Balancing the Horse and Hoof for Sound Shoeing.

He shares this information not only with his students but offers free clinics for horse owners at his school and in lectures for horse fairs, clinics, horse club and state council meetings and for various horse related groups, basically for anyone interested in the care and maintenance of the horses hooves.
